The Definitive Guide for Gaijin Otakus to Akihabara

Welcome back, my fellow weaboos. Today, through compiling information, youtube vlogs and my actual experience, I bring you the definitive guide to enjoying Akihabara while conserving energy! *Insert Oreki Houtaro here*

Okay, not really definitive. Just my two cents.

It’s pretty easy to get lost physically and mentally in Akihabara, so I thought I’d create a guide. The best way for me to enjoy Akiba is to head there alone, or if you’re with friends, make sure they’re really, really, really ready for what y’all may stumble upon on, and have similar tastes as you, and never with family.

As much as possible, I’d split these into categories based on what they sell, so that you could make your own guide.

UPDATE: I saw this helpful, more concise link.

Maria (One-Shot Manga)

I came across this while browsing my news feed. It was shared by KadiriSubs, a subbing group that translates Japanese Animes to Tagalog parodies. They said it was written and drawn by a Filipino Artist.

The art certainly looks promising, but when I started reading it, it was the story that came up to me the most. It’s something that usually may happen in real life, and it gives a feeling of what the adult world is on the dark side. Despair, Dark, Insanity. It left a very good impression in my mind regarding every aspect that this manga has covered.

You can read the one-shot here.

A friend sent me this a long time ago, and of course, ya boy just has to list his own. So I’ll post the images below, and you can open it in a new tab to view the full size, then I’ll list my own.

Also, just a disclaimer, this whole thing is just for fun, and I’m generally open to everything. Cause some people find it offensive to discriminate or classify and some shit, but again, IT’S FOR FUN. Continue reading

D-6 Tokyo | Akihabara is Heaven!

WARNING: Only view if you’re 18 above and does not mind perverted stuff.

This post will be more about experience rather than the pictures. Most shops in Akihabara request that you do not take pictures inside of the store. (Also, I was in a trance that time so I forgot to take pics.) So to make up for that, I’ll be borrowing pictures from various websites to portray what I saw. But I will be including pics from my own.

I’ll start off my Tokyo posts on an 18-rated thread, Akihabara! The land where Otakus roam free from prejudice! I was sincerely in awe by the sheer atmosphere of Akihabara. Colorful Buildings, Anime Characters plastered almost everywhere, Maid Cafes and ‘other’ stuff. Unfortunately, due to my forgetfulness I forgot to take notes on where I should go, and because of that, I ended up visiting just 1/4 of my planned areas.
